Home Depot is advertising Red White & Blue Savings on appliances in Thursday’s insert in the paper. You might think that this is an Independence Day ad, but the top 4 items on the front page of the ad are Korean brand LG (Lucky Goldstar).

In fact, of all the brands advertised on the front page, the Korean LG brand products were featured 6 times. In second place was US Maytag brand with 3 products listed.

I’m sure the guys with the orange aprons would be quick to point out that red, white, and blue are not just America’s colors. Britain’s Union Jack is red, white, and blue, and let’s give credit where credit is due. South Korea’s flag is also red, white, and blue.

Thanks Guys. One more reason not to buy appliances at a lumber yard.
